That is the Cornerstone Theory: what was left out is the biggest opportunity. The people, markets and ideas passed over by the builders of the formal economy are not the leftovers of growth. They are its foundation, waiting to be set.
So we build in reverse. We go to the ground others rejected, pick up the stone, and set it first. Inequality is not a geography: it rests in a province, a city, a continent. Why we exist
They call it the informal market. It is the main mass market.
For decades, the world's fastest-moving consumer economy has been filed under one dismissive word: informal. That label has kept capital on the other side of the fence, pricing risk on ground it has never walked. The result is the largest, most loyal, most underserved demand pool on earth, running daily on trust, cash and hustle, with almost no institutional capital behind it. Talent was never the problem. Access to systems was.
This is not a niche. It is the mass market, the main market, the majority of Africa's spending, trading and building. The ventures architected for this ground will own its distribution, its data and its next decade of prosperity.
Of African VC lands in just four countries. No tracker even counts a township category. This market is not under-priced, it is un-priced.
