The Narrative Compass

The working canvas for stages 1 to 3 of the Keystone Arc, Cornerstone's framework for narrative-led nation positioning in unequal societies. Purpose: break the limiting narratives that sow division and hate, find the unifying idea, and build the momentum required for peace, purpose, progress, possibility and prosperity. 1 · Where inequality rests

The place, the fault line, the fence. What divides this society and where exactly does it show?

2 · The limiting narrative

The story people currently tell about themselves and each other. The belief that keeps the ceiling low. Quote it in their words.

3 · The cost of the story

What this narrative costs in trust, investment, cohesion and hope. Numbers where possible.

4 · The truth the story hides

Assets, shared history and common ground the limiting narrative refuses to see. The rejected stone.

5 · The unifying idea

One idea a nation can stand on together, true enough to survive scrutiny, big enough to carry everyone. The rainbow-nation seed.

6 · Proof and carriers

What makes it believable (proof points), and who tells it (leaders, artists, media, teachers, ventures). A narrative without carriers is a slogan.
